In order to produce your new replacement vertical blind slats all that we need from you is the exact measurement of the current vanes. It is recommended that you take down a slat put it onto a flat surface and pop a metal tape end over the top shoulder and measure too the extreme bottom of the slat. You do not have to make any allowances or include the hanger height in this measurement as we will just replicate the size you offer to us. Pocket sizes and turnovers are pretty well trade standard so if you want to keep and recycle your existing hangers and weights then you will be able to do so.
Neither! - We have invested in the latest textile welding machinery that ultrasonically seals the top and bottom pockets. We do not use glue which tends to brown over time or sew which leaves stitch marks and thread on view, however we are always willing to use the sewing method at a Customers request. Ultrasonic welding technique involves using high frequency vibration to to fuse the turnover hems together and leaves an indiscernible neat and strong finish
If you do not currently have slats attached to your headrail then the measurement will need to be obtained with a little deduction. Simply measure from under the tip of one of the rail hooks down to the window sill and deduct 10mm or 1cm which will be the required gap after the replacement slats have been hung
Vast majority of hangers are of the single or double slot type which is pretty well industry standard. However if you have a 'ready made' type hangers that are found on vertical blinds purchased to cut down yourself then you will need to email us with this fact. Determining whether you have ready made type hangers is an easy visual check, they are on the outside of the fabric not in a pocket and consist of a foldover bar and slide over hanger body. When measuring just include the outer hanger in the top to bottom measurement and include the observation 'ready made hangers' on your order and we will include a tolerance of turnover fabric during production.
Sometimes you may find that the hangers in your current slats are tightly sealed in. You can still retain and use them in your new slats but it will involve having to cut them out of your existing fabrics. Our manufacturing process involves a sufficient pocket allowance that enables both your hangers and weights to be easily inserted.
